Recently, I’ve seen a handful of executive suites participating in various social media, video sites and other types of online media. From the UK’s eOffice, who participates in a large way in just about every type of social media, to those who start a Twitter account, begin following a bunch of Twitterers, publicize their newfound marketing outlet on their website, then abandon any efforts to keep it up-to-date.

Select Office Suites falls somewhere in between, but they are headed in the right direction. They are keeping their Twitter account up-to-date (@SelectOffice) with good information, although I’d like to see them focus more on talking about their events and promoting their clients more. They just started a blog that looks very promising, but is only a few days old so far. For the sake of search engine optimization, it would be ideal if it hung off their website (selectofficesuites.com/blog), rather than through a Wordpress account. I’ve also noticed Select Office Suites is taking control of all the business information websites, such as Merchant Circle, that tend to go neglected by most companies.

A couple days ago, I found this video by one of Select Office Suites’ clients, Light of Gold PR. It won’t win any awards, but I like it for use on Youtube and embedding it on a blog. Interestingly, Select Office Suites hasn’t put it on their blog yet, but I’m sure that will change…

This is really a great piece! Social media is so important to any industry. Serviced offices can really get a leg up in this economy by using social media as a marketing vehicle.
